Arriving PG connecting TG F

I will be arriving from Samui on PG and connecting to TG F. What is the procedure do I have to leave and then re-enter through departures or is it possible to get buggy service after the PG flight?

Hi,
I'm interested to hear what the arrangement is for this.
I'll be doing the same thing next year.

Does anybody have any insight? OnTheRocks, did you complete your trip already?

You have two choices.

1) Check your bags through with PG at USM. Go through immigration in USM and, having contacted TG ahead of time with your connection info, you might get a buggy to transit security. Or you might get a bus gate and have no PA to escort you. You also won't get any priority baggage tags.*

OR

2) Check in only for your dom fligth in USM. Pick up your bags in BKK and head upstairs to Row A, Door 1, where you'll given the regular departure pampering including VIP security and immi and *A/priority/F baggage tags.

If connecting, exBKK, on anyone other than TG F** I'd choose #1. For TG F I'd choose #2 so long as the connection doesn't risk missing checkin times.

* It's possible TG would proactively locate your bags and retag them but I wouldn't depend upon that.

**For TG C the decision would depend upon other factors and could go toward either option.

Great, thanks for the info!

Given that it will be my GFs first time on TG F I'm thinking that option 2 will be the better choice.

That leads me to a question on BKK.
In some modern airports, all bag handling is done electronically. The system will read the electronic tag and direct the bag to the priority bag container. The F priority tag can be handy but not really necessary.
How is BKK system?

I have no insight into the system an BKK but according to my observation, F luggage comes usually first. For the rest it is always amazing, how many have priority tags. Can easily exceed the ones without tag
