and - what a coincidence - SYD is back to B747 with F-class compartment again (see related threat "SYD changes")
Seems it's more promising for Thai to continue offering F-class on that route instead of increasing the capacity to Frankfurt by Jumbo jet besides A380...

I still seriously doubt they will actually expand their service this much - given all the economics of it!
Just think about LH that is seriously considering cancelling the FRA-BKK service all together since there is no money to be made on that route....just too much competition into BKK!

a cheap eco FRA-BKK-FRA on LH costs aprox 980,- Euro all in mid Jan rt.
a cheap eco FRA-LAX-FRA on LH costs aprox 820,- Euro all in mid Jan rt. and LAX is even 300 miles more each way, and USA destinations are more costy ( taxes and fees for the Airline than BKK )
And BKK is almost always full in both classes !
But too bad , TG not start the new DUS Routing. I would be very happy to see them flying to NRW DUS or even CGN !
NH also implemented a service between DUS and NRT !!!

All of our PNRs now show B747 for mid Dec (TG 923). Is there any possibility of them cancelling this flt altogether? I thought the fall and winter schedule is being finalised this week.
Does it mean that if the flt is not cancelled say by next week, it will not be cancelled at least for the rest of the year?

Also, nobody but LH flies FRA-LAX nonstop. LH competes with TG on FRA-BKK nonstop.
