I donno; you can currently buy UA miles for ~$.02 each, so 15,000 miles = ~$300 in value. I would put that price in the splurge category for the ex. BKK upgrade from J to F ground services.
That said: the TG F ground services ex. BKK are a unique world class airport experience, and airline miles devalue over time.
