It's TG, who knows what you'll get regardless of the seating chart at booking.

And March is fixed. I'm finally back to the 4 flights I originally had booked. Wonder how much that cost me in time and effort (and dramatic flyertalker heartache of course)

Just checked and my date and it is showing that TG475 afternoon is also offering F which is good for me. Called TG in LA and they have to call Bangkok office to get fare rules and price difference from my BKK-BNE J seat to change to BKK-SYD F and will call me back tomorrow.

Before 11am in NY I had a voicemail back from the LA office about rerouting/changing my class and all the prices lined up as what was shown online plus the 2000 baht ($62) re-issuing/cancellation free. She put me in the seat I wanted and as of right now online it is showing 10 seats which I can live with in hopes day of we get on a 9 seat suite.

We are travelling as a couple next month on TG 476/475, and there seems to be only 2 sets together in F in centre for couples -- anyone know WHAT seat numbers they are please?
We NOW have 3E/3F which we like, on the OLD config. If the new config also numbers them as 3E/3F hopefully we'll get them too in an equipment swap! (Hopefully they are also 3E/3F)
Flew in on Etihad today from Abu Dhabi, and their First cabin suites looks very similar to the Thai new fit.

For those interested, and I am at the moment since I am flying the route soon, the TG475/476 was again last night on 9F suites, and is scheduled the same for tonight/tomorrow morning.
Thai seem to be updating the GDS on a day by day basis for the next day's service.

Accoding to various threads some prefer 1A/1K since it is very private at the front with more space due to the aisle, others prefer 3E/3F as the suites are closer and find the aisle in row 1 prevents good conversation.
Question - I am travelling with my wife and would like to try 3E/3F but 3F/3K are blocked for pre assignment. Do people have experience of getting this seat unblocked for pre assignment, or can this only be done at check-in?
At the moment, we are in 2E and 3E and I am hoping 3F is free, or if taken, I can convince that passenger to swap for 2E.

Flew 476 2 weeks ago and 475 on the weekend both in F. 476 (SYD-BKK) fortunate enough to have new F and even more fortunate to be the only 2 pax in F! Was easily the best flight of my life. Crew were in an excellent mood as we were pretty easy to look after and they had little to do - had lunch with all the trimmings and then slept for about 4 hours after lunch so we were refreshed to hit the town upon landing. We selected 1A and K which I think are the best for 2 people travelling together. They made up 2A and K for our beds. Very comfortable. Completely forgot their was an entire plane load of pax behind us.
I had been watching flightradar to see which regos had been operating 475/476 over the past two weeks and observed it was old F probably 70% of the time so was not surprised to be on old F for 475 on the weekend. F cabin was completely full (10 pax) - flight was showing F0 three weeks out so they may have been forced to use old F to have a seat for the 10th person. Flight was good but new F sure is better than old F. Did thoroughly enjoy companion dining which you really can't do on new F. Selected 1A and K again - they are quite far apart but you can't beat having no-one sitting in front of you - feels far more private.
My biggest complaint about old F is the headrest when you are sleeping - it makes your head significantly higher than your body (like you are sleeping on two pillow instead of one). Still slept well but its not really fully-flat.
I would expect SYD to continue to see new F about 30% of the time. Count yourself lucky if you get it - its much better than old F.
