It should be noted that the TG Board has not actually implemented this change, yet.

And, Military Junta/NCPO Deputy Leader Air Chief Marshal Prajin Juntong remains as the Chairman of the TG board.

He is also in charge of:

Ministry of Agriculture and Cooperatives
Ministry of Commerce
Ministry of Labour
Ministry of Finance
Ministry of Transport

And he's head of the RTAF.

There are no MPs currently.

It didn't strike me that board had any say in this.

While most of the Chairperson's of the various ~ 56 state-ish enterprises (EGAT, MRTA, KTB, MCOT, etc.) have been encouraged to resign, it honestly didn't make any sense for Air Chief Marshall Prajin to step down as he is the Deputy Chief of the Junta.

Two numbers bigger and for Thailand certainly more important than TG

If TG actually follows through with this measure and eliminates the free trips for board members and their families, does this mean that you can now purchase a ticket in First or Business and expect to actually sit in your selected seat?

Or will TG aircraft continue to be held for HiSos that board at the last minute, and discrete requests from the flight staff to move to a different seat so that a VIP's wife can sit where you are currently seated?

Twice, once in the 90's and once in the 00's, once on a flight BKKLHR and once on a flight BKKFRA. Both flights middle of the week with very light loads, but my seat was apparently the one that had to be used.

It was enough to shift me away from TG when other options were available, which was a shame.

If it happened to me on any flight leaving BKK, I would tell the guy to **** off, but XXX-BKK I will seriously weigh the pros and cons!

I actually try to behave on legs in and out. I do not want to be put on a black list and not be welcome anymore in the Land of Smiles
