Baggage situation on a CGK-BKK-PER-AKL flight

This is what I see on my reservation on thaiairways:

Jakarta - Perth on Thai Airways

Flight 1: Jakarta - Bangkok
Flight 2: Bangkok - Perth

Perth - Auckland on Air NZ

Flight 1: Perth - Auckland

I have a layover in Perth lasting from 7:45am-7:25pm (11h 40min). Does the above mean that I can't check-in my baggage at CGK straight to AKL?

Those of you who have connected from TG to a partner flight on the same day: Did you have to collect your bags at transit airport and re-checkin your bags through the partner airline?

only when flying into USA and from there on, luggage check through is not possible
Australia: no problem you can check through; I once flew from SFO to SYD on UA and then to SIN on SQ; could check through but luggage arrived one day later
