All 747 should have been converted to 74N by the end of 2012 according to the original plan. It is fair to assume that this will in fact be done by end 2013, but with TG, one really never knows.
In any case, if this done, it would mean 10 744 would have a recent F and C product, and 6 744 would have the new F and a recent C product. The only TG roulette left on 744 by the end of the year will hopefully be for Economy class (with AVOD for 12 planes and without for 4 planes).

Booked on TG660 BKK-HND in F this coming July. Showed as 777-300 (I think) when I booked, now showing 747. Will this likely be the new config? Have requested seat 1A.

I couldn't manage a dummy booking on the Thai site as HND didn't appear on the drop-down (only NRT), but when searching on expedia.com it does indeed show 9 seats.
This would therefor be 747 version 2 as per Seatguru?

You never know with TG, though!

Does this mean there are suites in F on the newly refitted 747s?
Gosh I hope so! Also on TG 346's do they have F suites? I am guessing no, but hoping yes
I cant open the photo links for F and C on the first page...not sure why

Yes! They do not have a door, but they are suites. This trip report has some nice photos to show you what they are like.
I think the suites are not found on the 346s. I believe they are still the older, but not the oldest first class. This video shows those seats fairly well.

It seems the destinations getting the 74R on a consistent basis are HKG, MUC, FCO and MXP, along with a sprinkle of NRT.....and HKT!
Strange why they chose FCO over SYD. Fewer frames required?

Might help those of us down back... but speaking to Thai yesterday they confirmed all the 747's on the BKK-LHR routes coming back this year will be reterofitted with seatback TV's.
