I've been met upon arrival (not transferring thru) at BKK, coming in twice from HKG, late night arrival, and arriving at a VERY DISTANT gate. An agent has my name on a sign. He/she takes me to immigration on a golf cart, and then assists me with collecting my bags and also sees me to the taxi stand (or arrivals area, should I want to grab an arriving taxi... I know, you're not supposed to do this).
When I fly out from BKK in 1st class, I get an escort and am taken to the 1st class lounge by golf cart, from the 1st class check-in "lounge" area.
A family member arrived in 1st class from PEK and was NOT escorted or given any assistance whatsoever. The gate was much closer to immigration. I'm not sure why this flight did not get the same 1st class treatment that my HKG flight gets.
Programs: former Olympic Airways Gold (yeah - still proud of that!)

I haven't known PEK flights to have a First class cabin. Shanghai did for a short while, but that went pretty quickly. When was this trip?
I have voiced criticisms on TG, but I have ALWAYS been escorted when flying F class on TG in BKK. It has happened that there was no buggy to go to a near-gate, but always escort. That includes connection from/to another TG flight in J.
BTW, I was not aware that TG had F class to PEK.
