So we are finally booked in F on the 380 from FRA to BKK, what can we expect. We will probably arrive into FRA from MAD,

1, Lounge
2, Should we pre-order
3, Seats

Any help will be appreciated.

My son and I were on that flight in November and we both loved it.

We were met at our gate and escorted (arriving from SZG) to a Senator lounge. Pretty unremarkable. We did not preorder our onboard dinner and were quite content with the offerings. I liked the caviar, but preferred that which was served on Asiana instead.

We received Rimowa amenity kits, making us both very happy.

Our seats were 1K and 2K. I have never been a fan of the center seats even when traveling with my husband. I prefer the privacy of the window seats and figure we can always have our meals together. I love my husband dearly, but I can stand not being with him every second. We sat in the forward mini lounge for a bit and I'm pretty certain we were the only two to use it.

The bathroom was huge with lovely Bulgari toiletries. Easy to change clothes.

I realize it's a hit or miss proposition with Thai, but I found this flight to be delightful. The attendants were lovely, always smiling, always proactive. I wouldn't hesitate to fly them again.

And of course, the meet, greet, and cart upon landing was wonderful.

I looked at the seating and feel that we may be in the exact same seats as you. I would have liked the middle seats but it does not matter. How was the food onboard since you did not pre-order?
Now is th Senator Lounge you went to the first class section?

Question

So we fly into BKK (from FRA) on TG F ad fly out on connection to Bali on TG J, will they allow us into the F lounge in BKK on arrival.

Also is the A330 to Bali refurbished or does it have the old cradle seats?

You will get the F lounge in BKK. At arrival from FRA in F your escort will be waiting at the gate to take you there. You would not get the full body massage in the SPA lounge but there is anecdotal evidence that some did get it. I usually enjoy the food and a ahower and skip the spa lounge.

You will not be escorted to the J departure.

Cant advise on the hrd product.

The seats in J on route to DPS will be fine. A little old but perfectly acceptable for a 4 hour flight. The seats are in a 2 configuration.

Amenity kit was Porsche design when I flew it last summer. Not a complete lie flat but not needed for 4 hours in my view.

TG is a great way to get to Bali with the f and j combination.

I will be in a similar situation in a few weeks, flying into BKK on Thai F from CDG, but further connecting with domestic flight on TG J - will they allow me to First Class Lounge as well?

Yes based on the experts' above response. Which lounge in CDG do you get? We were trying to fly out of CDG but the flight that we wanted on the day we needed to fly was gone.

The difference is I am further flying domestic TG J, not international (different terminal etc). but hopefully it would work?
We have this flight in a couple of weeks, so didn't check it personally yet, but according to some trip reports I found, what TG offers as their F lounge in CDG is nothing to write home about

This is a YMMV situation.

As you indicated later, the domestic flight will leave out of a different terminal, so you would typically not have access to the area of the airport which contains the F lounge.

There are reports of some passengers being able to access the F lounge (escort who meets your incoming flight agreeing to take you to the F lounge) but the one time I tried it, I was not successful.

Depending on your layover time, the domestic lounge is not bad...but no alcohol...and the real bummer...no shower.

Does anyone have a suggestion on which meal I should preorder out of Frankfurt?

I read through most of the first preorder thread and did not see any positive feedback on a particular meal from Frankfurt.

I was debating the same as we will be on this route in F as well but may just go with what is served onboard, how bad could it be. Is there a recent F menu in F from FRA?
