Is the flight to or from the US...I suspect that is the only time the 24 hour rule applies.

Thai transfer to Thai Smiles

Hi

I am taking J class from SIN to BKK and then transferring domestically to CEI on Thai Smiles (in Y no J available). Upon arrival in BKK can I use the Thai Orchid Lounge ( I am Krisflyer PPS member)? Also does Thai Smiles accrues miles for KF?

Thanks,

Thanks,
are you flying on a TG flight number or a WE flight number? that should be decisive
with TG number you are on a star alliance flight and can use TG domestic lounge (if you are Krisflyer Gold) and get mileage
on WE number not

I believe all BKK-CEI flights are TG.

If it's a 4 digit number you're gonna fly weeeee weeeee weee all the way home.

Lounge access only if ROP Gold and miles only to ROP.

I have been searching for answers for my questions but havent been succesful on these specific ones:

Have my first TG flights coming up in December: Dec 17th FRA-BKK (TG921) and Dec 18th BKK-SYD (TG471). Both legs in B. I am *G (LH Senator)

The FRA-BKK leg seems very crowded:
F4 A3 P0 C7 D2 J0 Z0 Y0 B0 M0 H0 Q0 T0 K0 S0 V0 W0

1) Does TG do operational upgrages? If so, what are my chances?
2) Can I buy an upgrade with my M&M miles? If so, how many do I have to pay for each leg? If so, how does that work?
3) Can I use an e-Voucher for upgrages to C?

Thanks!

That's a rather full flight.

1) Yes if needed. Don't know.
2) Possibly but you need to check with M&M.
3) No

agreed with dsquared37, except for 3. question
I used m&m e-vouchers for upgrade on TG C to F; so why should this not also be possible for Y to C? but would need 2 e-vouchers per leg

I was not privy to this allowance. Thanks for the correction.

Thank you.
Could you maybe say something in general to the upgrade policy of TG? Is it only if overbooked? By status or booking class? How are *A partner members treated in this regard?

When flying BKK-ZRH in First Class with TG operated plane but LX issued ticket, do I have the access to Royal Orchid SPA?

Yes. The deciding factor is the name on the actual plane you're flying which in this case is Thai.
Same thing if you had a UA ticket for FRA-LAX in F on LH...you could use the FCT.

If you're looking to upgrade then contact TG or LH (if using miles or e-vouchers).

If you're asking about getting an opup then it's theoretically possible but unlikely.

If you're asking about simply being upgraded gratis in a non-overbooked scenario then don't be silly.
