the flight is operated w/ A330.
oh yes! even it's only angle flat seat. I would hate to be in Y on flights to India. Crowded, people bringing all kind and too much of travel on luggage with them and pushing towards you. No further details as I prefer to stay polite...

I just signed up for Royal Orchid plus. My total now is around 5000(Brussel-Manila round trip) I'm not that much of a flyer. Maby 2-3 times a year. I'm making a round trip Brussel-Manila in December. So is it actually worth it, and where can i see the awards I can claim ? And how long these miles last to expire ?

Sorry for the newb questions.

hmmm.

25K is a steep price for a 3 hour flight. i wonder if there is any possibility of getting an OP-UP as a *G 1K.

will have to consider this further. not wild about the regional J product or about spending so many miles for it.

You're just *G. 1K is a UA term and completely irrelevant outside of UA's operations. Actually, as a 7year running 1K it is evident that 1K is getting irrelevant within UA's circles but that's another story entirely.

Not sure the upgrade is worth it for a flight that short.

OP-UP unlikely, and agree 25k miles rather steep for that flight.

Anyone know what they sell the upgrades for on that route? You can ask at check-in about a cash upgrade to J.

actually BKK BLR is 3 hours 35, not 3 hours. flights into India as already said are not your usual short flights in Y! its usually Y--, be prepared to take some burden!

standby upgrade is 7985 THB and 9755 THB for V and W tickets

Thanks!

That's better than 25,000 UA miles IMO, assuming availability.

thanks for sharing this. if i understand the link correctly, the upgrade if available should be able to be confirmed at check in in BKK by paying the fee? is there any way to get upgraded earlier than check in?

one other question, is the 7985 THB fee also applicable to full Y fares? the table stipulates B/M/H/Q only with no mention of Y.

Safe: Yes. You're playing it overly conservative.
