Does anyone know if the fourth Trent powered A330 HS-TEQ has been delivered to THAI yet? It does not appear so, based on Airbus website delivery informaton.
This aircraft made it first flight around end of July this year. I am wondering what are the reason(s) for delay of delivery. Payment? Configuring the lie-flat business class seats, technical problems?

I am not sure this is actually a delay. There is a certain period between first flight and delivery due to the config of planes. A period of 3-4 months is not unusual. And dont forget that TG asked Airbus to slow down the delivery of the 330-order ealier this year:

I saw from Thai webboard (Hflight.net).
HS-TEQ will delivery to THAI in early 2010 due to Configuring the lie-flat business class seats.
I thought it is a bit unusual for such a long time to elapse between first flight and delivery, or configuration of seats for that matter. Too bad this delivery schedule means that the aircraft misses the high season (Christmas/New Year) to enter into revenue service. Thanks for the clarification.
If they really change the C seat to lie flat, the regulartory approval on engineering and safety alone can lead to such delay. I really hope that's the case. I hoped to see hs-tep with lie flat seats but that didn't happen.
Is it going to be HS-TEQ or HS-TER. When I saw a list a while back, I recall they were going to skip "HS-TEQ", being they always in the past seemed to skip using the letter 'Q'. Not sure why, perhaps it looks too much like an 'O', much like they also skip the letter 'I', probably because it could easily be confused with a 'L' if it was lower case?
