744, 772 or A346 in C - which is better ?

Hi Thai flyers,

I got a choice of C- connection BKK-CDG-WAW(744) or BKK-ZRH-WAW(346) or BKK-OSL-GDN (777).
Which flight would you recommend me in terms of seating in C and service ?

Best,

Raf

I would have avoided the CDG connection because of 1. The chaos at CDG 2. The possibility of getting an old 747 with old seats.

The seats in 772 and 346 are the same. Smaller C cabin on the OSL leg though.

On the other hand, the service in TG C has dropped dramatically the last couple of years, and SK have great prices in C now, so why not consider BKK-CPH-GDN/WAW with SK?

Thanks, Bizflyer,

I got a redemption ticket, the only seats available for miles are from TG stock, so the choice is not so great. I will choose Zurich than, I think - layover
time is the shortest there.

BTW How is the SAS lounge is Oslo? There is no showers, I think. Can I eventually use other shower facilities on this airport (to appear refreshed in GDN :-))

ZHR for my money

Actually the seats on the 7443 (new config) are the same as the seats on the A346. The 777 seats (new bus config) are slightly different (and I prefer the 7443/A346 type).

I would also avoid CDG given it's a shocking airport and, with the 7443, there's a chance TG could swap it for a 7442 (old config, known as "747 All Series"). A346 is a nice ride, so I would go BKK-ZHR.

The SAS lounge at OSL is ok, but no showers I'm afraid.
If you have a StarGold card you can visit the SAS Scandinavian Lounge wich have slightly better good and drinks, but no big difference actually.

Absolutely! The A346 is the best option... Although, I have a soft spot for the 772... However, go for the long sleek A346, one of my favourite iron birds.

Cheers,

AG.
