Austin, TX for new years eve

Hello,
Does anyone in this group know a good place to dine in Austin? Its my first place there and I would like to take our hostesses to diner in regards of their kindness of inviting my family to their place.
Thanks in advance,

Plenty of good restaurants in Austin. I think the Driskill Grill, inside the marvelous historic Driskill Hotel downtown is one of the best. Not cheap, but great food and atmosphere. Also, I love Parkside on 6th Street, in the middle of the downtown music scene. Great food, especially the sea food. Zoot is also very good - innovative menu, very fresh foods.
