Trying to find Chicken Fried Bacon near DFW

In the DFW area until Sat AM and the guy traveling with me wants to find Chicken Fried Bacon. I know the state fair here had it but google is not finding any stores or restaurants that actually sell it.

I'm willing to drive up to an hour (or near that) if I can find this ...

Thanks

I have no idea where such a serving location exists, but isn't bacon already a fried product?

ETA: As an aside, perhaps you can ask around for a good local (non-chain) breakfast place and then call them up and ask if they would be willing to serve such a dish for a name-your-price special.

Yes, but not that fried. CFB is battered and deep fried, and served with cream gravy.

So as one comentary I saw said, CFB is a "side of fat douple-dipped in fat then fried in fat & served with a side of fat (cream gravy)". Sounds like a true Southern dish.

I will say that I haven't seen it on menus from any restuarants I have been to in the Dallas area. So I'm not sure if it has spread to Dallas yet (outside of the State Fair that is.)

Nope. Lots of tasty stick-based foods at the Fair, but the bacon is served in a small paper dish, with dippin' sauce on the side.
