I'm also currently using invisible. Maybe only those who use it can still see it.
I was using it and had been using it until the 8th when IBB took it away. Then I suddenly become "visible" since. And there's no way to turn it back on. At least not under my "edit options."

If it has nothing to do with FT Premium, I can only assume it's a 04082009 bug that hasn't been fixed. It's still not there for me as I type.

Apparently, ANY FT member lacks ANY rights these days, privacy or otherwise.

Apparently not the case for me.

Jesus freaking Christo.

Can someone explain to me what the point of being a FT poster is anymore? If the powers that be won't respect the posters, with un-announced "enhancements," "fixes," and/or "resets" becoming the norm, and with "database errors" running rampant, what's the point of the posters "contributing" to this website?

ETA: And while I'm still posting, I'd like to mention that no official resolution seems to have ever been made with regard to the issues raised in this thread. Apparently, few people care about the FT experience anymore.

Well, I just need to make sure it has nothing to do with FT Premium before I can make any broader generalization about FT Privacy.

My question to IBB (or HOM): How can I become "invisible" on FT again?

There have been some issues with rebuilding the database in the last 24 hours, so this may be part of it, rather than some plot to take away one’s privacy.

Same here, and I'd like it back.

Same problem still exists. No invisibility, and no option to revert to it.

I think the smile was due to the wording of the question (see below). "Yes" answered the question, but we still do not know if it's permanently removed or a bug.

A bug it is. At least that's my personal conclusion at this point.

Evidence:
1. Others have confirmed it's not a bundled FT Premium option;
2. IB confirmed they are still working on repairing profiles.

I am willing to give them a couple of more days to bring this privacy option back. Or I'll just keep bugging IB.

BTW, as for now, this privacy option is still not restored under my profile.

How many more days are you willing to wait?

I was actually thinking about bumping this thread so IB can keep tabs on this yet-to-be-fixed problem.

Invisible mode is still missing from my profile options as of now. I've been checking this option on a daily basis. However, it's been 5 days since FTers spotted this problem.

Can we hear from IB whether there's someone working on this issue? Thanks!

As of yesterday evening, the administrators did not believe there's a problem. (See Stormybot's reply to me over in the "Slow/Database Error" thread, in which he gave me the old instructions as if nothing were different.) That, or they are not talking with one another. IB-Dick seems actually to be aware of it as part of the corruption episode, and maybe Stormybot had just came on duty, not having read the in-house stickies between administrators.

I think that you are being quite charitable.

I'm lost on this. I'm probably the only one.

Perhaps a few episodes of the series were broadcast when I was in the bath. Is invisible mode an option that has been deleted purposefully and does that imply it's never coming back - or do I detect that Beth Din are unaware of it's dissapearence and have therefore no plans for it's reintroduction. Privacy is a personal thing.
