My understanding is that both OMNI forums are now open to everyone.

Enjoy!

Very bad

I'd like it to not be open unless logged in at LEAST.

Horrible decision. I hope it is an error.

Why is that? It's the most popular forum on FT. I welcome the change and hope members that haven't accumulated 180 posts, which can be difficult, will enjoy their time in OMNI now that they have access for the first time.

I suspect that if OMNI is overrun with outside nutters (as opposed to our own FT nutters) it will be closed back up.

Gee, if it's the most popular forum on FT, you certainly wouldn't know it from the attitudes of some. IMHO, it's the poor stepchild of FT

I prefer to see it kept for logged in users only. There's a lot of personal stuff in there.

I agree with you. It should be at least restricted to the logged in/registered users.

Yes, as stated above, both forums are open to any and all.

And, as of this morning, it's viewable whether you're logged in or not.

For those having difficulty in finding the forums, click here for a link to the general OMNI and click here for a link to OMNI/PR.

Look forward to you all paying a visit to one or both of the forums.

I feel naughty sneaking in here before I earned it. An 'elite' level of FT was very appealing to me and gave me something to work towards. Even not having poked around yet, I must agree that the forum should only be visible to logged in users and I definitely am more hesitant to participate/post now that it is visible to all.

You can always strive to "FlyerTalk Evangelist" at 10,000 posts.
