Easiest way to post a link to another thread?

What is the easiest and most accurate way to post a link to a post in another thread, when you are either making a new post or replying to another one? The webpage address shown at the top of my screen is often too general and does not go straight to the thread or post I want to link to.

I had the same problem - learned how to do it via #19 from Carnarsie in the sticky at the top of Technical Issues.

Go to the blue link to the thread you want, right-click your mouse and select Copy Shortcut. Then in the second you want to use to reference the first, right-click again, and select Paste.

You can get more creative about it but that is the ultra-simple approach.
