how accurate is the # of views?

The view count from the posts that were loaded in prior to 4/1 are wildly inaccurate. You've got some threads with 600 posts and two views! What I'm guessing is that the view count total only picks up activity since FT switched over to vBB.
But what the hell do I know? I shouldn't even be posting an opinion on a Tech issue! I consider changing a light bulb to be a high tech accomplishment.
