Quote button behavior (page distortion from oversized embedded image)
Trying to reply to a post in Omni using the Quote button.
This is the thread: http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/omni/...l#post28076989
Just open the link above and click "Quote".
Get a large window that says Reply, with a ton of blank space, and I have to scroll about 12 feet to the right to see the quoted text and the reply box.
Some scaling gone wrong perhaps?
Doesn't seem to happen in this forum, but I've only tried two different threads in total.

It may be one of the graphic images is oversized and distorts the page when a quote of another post is attempted. I've asked that forum's Moderators check.

Yep - the image in post 3168 is causing the problem. When you're looking at the thread the image is a normal size, but when you hit the quote button that image appears much, much bigger.

The first image is what appears when the Reply to thread window opens; the second follows a lengthy scroll to the right. Note this occurs only when i'm quoting others

I am on FF and whether I use multiquote and POST REPLY, or just click QUOTE on a post, it's behaving normally.

It's also happening on my iPad / Safari. This is the post I quoted, http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/28094238-post364.html. How does it behave when you quote this post?

I've encountered it before - and it's actually been reported before in this forum . Has jack squat to do w/ images. It's a 'glitch' AFAICT. When I encountered it, because it had been reported here before, I just scrolled right (once someone suggested that as the solution).
Cheers.

Thanks. (and to those that figured it out.)
Was it really post #3168 ?
I wasn't quoting that post, but deleting whatever image was there seems to have stopped it.
Why would a graphic in an unrelated post cause this?

In that thread that Prospero is talking about, it is post 339 that is the culprit. Same scenario as LIH Prem's, when you're looking at the thread the image is normal size, but when you hit the quote button, that image appears much, much larger.
When you quote a post, below the box where you type your reply, it shows you a bunch of previous posts in the thread (20? Not sure how many, I've never counted), so post 339, even though you weren't quoting it, was one of the posts that appears below.
