PLEASE POST SCREENSHOTS of the FULL SCREEN and report your DEVICE TYPE, BROWSER TYPE AND VERSION, and COUNTRY where you are browsing from in your post. This thread is strictly for the reporting of disruptive ads, including unwanted popups, page hijscks, malware attempts, etc. related to ad content. Please refrain from discussion or speculation about technical issues if they are not reports as specified here.
We understand disruptive advertisements lessen the enjoyment of your FlyerTalk browsing experience. Please post all disruptive advertisement reports here; your full report (see above) will assist Internet Brands / FlyerTalk in handling these expeditiously. Admin / Tech attempts to respond to all reports speedily, but eliminating problem adverts may require communication with advertisements suppliers or devising technical solutions that may require time. (Internet Brands operates during customary and usual work hours on the U. S. West Coast; holidays, weekends, etc. are observed.)
To see how to include a screen shot in your post, once you have taken the screen shot follow the instructions "Inserting a photo or image from your device into a post:" in the first post in the thread http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/techn...mage-post.html
NOTE: Internet Brands and FlyerTalk discourage the use of software that modifies your FlyerTalk browsing experience (e.g. ad blocking software). IB / FT declines all responsibility for the use of such software and can not provide support or assistance if such software is used. As well, we remind you IB / FT can only provide FlyerTalk free to members because of the financial support of advertisers; using ad blockers denies IB / FT income that would normally pay for your free community membership and browsing experience..
Posts suggesting or discussing use of ad blocking etc. software will be summarily deleted.

This ad has made flyertalk unusable today. I’ve never considered an ad blocker til today.

This is getting ridiculous. I understand that IB/FT have bills to pay to keep the site largely free but FT has largely been unusable on mobile for months now. I am even having trouble making this post now because there is an google adware banner running vertically across the text entry box.
Not sure I see the long-term benefit to FT/IB in allowing these malware and fake app/forced redirect ads. Is there really that much ad revenue involved with these things? I mean malware, seriously?

so does your post some time ago scolding those who use pop-up blockers and the like because it’s against FT’s TOS no longer apply?
This issue really needs to be addressed by IB itself, it’s unfair of them to leave it to the Hall Monitors to continue to make policy and excuses on the run. This issue has been going on for how long now? It’s ridiculous and amateur that IB hasn’t been able to fix it.

I’m getting the same ads/redirects/hijacks posted already in IOS 11. Sorry FT, but I’ve re-enabled my ad blocker until you fix this.

I started getting redirected by this last week when using my iPad. I couldn't even post about it because I would get redirected by this ad.

Issue of the hijack redirect is still persisting. Took me to : http://us.ovy0.date/amz/amz.php?bran...Viasat%20inc.#
Screen shot:
Please fix this. Having everybody using ad blockers on the site can’t be a good long term solution. Thanks.

Is this the right thread in which to mention autoplay video ads? I have never noticed this before in years on FT, but today every page I load there is some ad that starts playing with a <10 year old child screaming nonsense. It's almost ESPN-level bad.

I'm seeing pages constantly slowing to a crawl, crashing and reloading due to using significant memory, and Safari's dev tools say the page is making thousands of XHR requests per minute to adaptv.advertising.com and related domains which are coming back with "no ad could be found that fills this request" and because it keeps trying over and over again for eternity, crashes my browser
Sometimes it stops, but usually it doesn't, and goes on and on and on, even if Chrome is minimized. If it happens to pause for a moment then scrolling the page can cause it to start again, moving the mouse over an advert can cause it to start again, and switching to another tab can cause it to start again - sometimes in more than one tab at a time! This really, really takes up a LOT of RAM and can make the site unusable.
I made a short video of an example:

I finally had to install adblocker because of the ad - related issues noted above. I'm not a techie but it's clear the ads made the site unusable for me. Now I have to stare at the red boxes asking me to disable adblocker.
I want to support FT but I want to be able to actually scroll and read the pages. Once there was a paid subscription option which I happily paid and would pay again but it is not even an option now.

I posted upthread about the auto play videos and they're still here. I've since noticed that the webpage will jump to the video every time a new one loads. Very annoying.
