PLEASE POST SCREENSHOTS of the FULL SCREEN and report your DEVICE TYPE, BROWSER TYPE AND VERSION, and COUNTRY where you are browsing from in your post. This thread is strictly for the reporting of disruptive ads, including unwanted popups, page hijscks, malware attempts, etc. related to ad content. Please refrain from discussion or speculation about technical issues if they are not reports as specified here.
We understand disruptive advertisements lessen the enjoyment of your FlyerTalk browsing experience. Please post all disruptive advertisement reports here; your full report (see above) will assist Internet Brands / FlyerTalk in handling these expeditiously. Admin / Tech attempts to respond to all reports speedily, but eliminating problem adverts may require communication with advertisements suppliers or devising technical solutions that may require time. (Internet Brands operates during customary and usual work hours on the U. S. West Coast; holidays, weekends, etc. are observed.)
To see how to include a screen shot in your post, once you have taken the screen shot follow the instructions "Inserting a photo or image from your device into a post:" in the first post in the thread http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/techn...mage-post.html
NOTE: Internet Brands and FlyerTalk discourage the use of software that modifies your FlyerTalk browsing experience (e.g. ad blocking software). IB / FT declines all responsibility for the use of such software and can not provide support or assistance if such software is used. As well, we remind you IB / FT can only provide FlyerTalk free to members because of the financial support of advertisers; using ad blockers denies IB / FT income that would normally pay for your free community membership and browsing experience..
Posts suggesting or discussing use of ad blocking etc. software will be summarily deleted.

Whew! I'm glad someone else apparently saw meaningless characters. I thought my browser settings had gone haywire.

Within minute of each other, while trying to post this, on this page, after having similar full-page ads.
These URLs may not be what is coming through your ad rotator - they're redirecting in a chain, so by the time I can command/ctrl-L,command/ctrl-C, I'm already on a new page. Last one may be the original.
All the ones I've run into are doing the full-page fake flash updates.
OS X 10.13 beta, Safari Version 11.0 (13604.1.25.3.3)
I have no extensions installed.
So far, I've seen these only on FT forums.

The base64 blob posted by jday probably was a malformed 'ad' redirect. The data decodes to a javascript, which contains more base64 data that decodes to more javascript, that contains even more base64 code. The javascript itself is heavily obfuscated. Those more conversant with js than my may be able to tell you what it does.
It looks to me as if it does some redirects, and sits and waits for the user to click/touch thus triggering something else.

I'd like to see a show of hands of FT'ers that are interested in a "Morning Vinegar Cleanse"...

Having lots of problems with "roll-over" ads that pop up and won't go away.
I use an Ad blocker with IE, but not with Chrome.
When viewing FT with IE, of course no problems, but the past few days when I
use Chrome, I get these " Bell Canada" surveys that offer free gifts for only
shipping charges, and can't get rid of them.
Other ones pop up and just keep loading, without doing anything - I have to
shut down chrome and re-enter.

Don't have a screen shot, but I've been having issues on both my PC and my iPhone with two different internet brands forums, both Flyertalk and LandRover Forums. On the iPhone using Safari, I got the popup that is discussed here: https://discussions.apple.com/docs/DOC-8771
Using Chrome on the computer, I'm getting memory errors for any forum by Internet Brands, with a constant spinning wheel trying to load the advertising. It's bad enough that I've reduced my visits to both Flyertalk and LandRoverForums by at least 50%. I should have taken a screenshot a couple of weeks ago
Trying Firefox now to see if I have the same problem, will report back.
