This technical issue could explain why my Forum Jump pop-up menu is now blank instead of displaying the forum in which I am currently viewing — and no, this problem I am experiencing is not from a mobile device.

Is there any relation between these two issues?

The blank is from today's iOS fix.

yes...exactly. It has worked for years and now it doesn't. Nothing shows up in the box unless I click on in & scroll through all the forums.

No. Instead of the two prechecked subfora as I had a few days ago I've now got the problem exactly as Canarsie and corky describe. The problem is same whether I'm browsing on my iPhone 5c with Safari or Mercury or on my laptop with FF, Safari, Opera or Chrome, logged in or logged out. (And yes, I'm really that promiscuous with browsers.)

ETA: I use the full site version on my phone.

fwiw, A couple of days ago after reading the OPs comments I checked whether the problem extended to the Move option in the Thread Tools menu in one of forums I moderate. (No problem there.) I realize the item list is different between the two menus because of mod permissions but thought this comparison exercise was worth mentioning.

Me too and thought it was just my PC issue.

This is what I've been seeing today on my ipad2 with safari. It's blank and if I automatically click to return from a thread to the forum main page, I get a page saying that it's invalid. However, I can expand the forum jump drop down menu to list the FT fora and then click on the one I want as usual. The problem is that an unexpected additional step is needed to stay in the same forum.

Happening with both my Kindle Fire HD and also my PC laptop. As oliver2002 noted in other thread, very annoying!

Cheers.

So, the problem now is that the forum jump box starts off as BLANK -- not that forum jump doesn't work at all (as was the original issue in this thread)?

There is still an iOS 8 issue for those using Apple.

-Until IOS8 releases an update, this won't be 100% fixed
-IF you have an IOS8 device, now the forumjump works, but it will not default to the value of the forum you are in
-All other devices and desktop are back to 100% normal behavior with default saving the location
