Note: if FlyerTalk / vB Advanced Search is not working for you, here's a decent way to use Google Advanced Search to search FT (the form is already set up for Flyertalk):

I've not had that problem, and as part of my moderating duties I must search a lot - sometimes to merge or delete threads, and then search again to see what come sup.

I'd recommend low tech solutions - clear your cache, to start with. Occam's razor has always had a lot of appeal to me. Good luck!

They fixed it yesterday afternoon. Good idea but it's not caching, each search has a unique search ID in the URL of the search results page, as such it can't be cached as each search result page is unique.

Thanks.

I've used it several times every day, and haven;t had any trouble other than when I searched and got distracted by something else and blew the search time out.

Glad it's working for you now. ^

BTW, there's a decent way to use Google Advanced Search to search FT:

(Form already set up for FT.)

I think it's broken again for the last 1.5 hours or so.

I made a post 10 minutes ago but when searching using "My Posts" from Quick Links, the latest post shown was from 100 minutes ago. That's too big a gap to ignore.

I verified the indexing is happening correctly, there should not be an issue at this time. Delay should be no longer than 10 minutes.

Obviously it was NOT working correctly since I ran into a 100-monute gap when I came to this thread to report the problem 11 hours before your reply.

Any clue what's causing the index delay the day before?

According to this thread, the indexing hasn't always been current for more than 2 months, starting in late Feb. Now we are marching into the month of May.

If indexing should have been done with 10-minute intervals, can IB tell us if there's any monitoring measure when it fails to function properly? Does IB have any proactive measure at present time?

It's happening again today.

Currently, the delay is more than 40 minutes and counting.
