blocking Russian IP addresses?

Starting from this morning I have been unable to access FT from Russia.

Using a proxy service (like proxfree.com) I have no problem to access FT.

Did you start blocking Russian IP addresses?

Some ip ranges are blocked if there is a massive persistent spam attack coming from that set.

Thanks for the fast reply. I'm using one of the largest ISPs in Russia and they usually are good at monitoring and blocking that sort of thing but of course it still happens (until they block it).

Is there any way I can see/get the range of currently blocked addresses so I can check if that is the problem? (maybe a PM?) Does FT maintain their own list or they use a third-party blacklist?

If FT has their own list, for how long do the addresses stay blocked?

Both.
Forever.

Please contact IBobi via PM to clarify your particular issue, I have no stake or authority on this matter, was just trying to be helpful with some background.

Oliver, thanks.
In any case everything is working again so it was just a temporary problem.
