FlyerTalk "Evangelist" or "Posting Legend"
FlyerTalk members with 10,000 counted posts receive the title, displayed in the post information box to the left of each post, of "FlyerTalk Evangelist". The designation will generally appear automatically.
"FlyerTalk Posting Legends" are those who have made 40,000 counted posts on FlyerTalk. A listing can be seen here.
(There are no special emoluments, perquisites of privileges that accompany these titles.)
However, Forum Ambassadors, Moderators and others whose titles are entered manually by the Community Director or Admin will not show the "FlyerTalk Evangelist"or "FlyerTalk Posting Legend" title automatically.
If you have qualified for a title listed here by meeting the post criterion, have a manually entered title and wish to have your "evangelist" title added, please contact the Community Director by PMing SanDiego1K.

What he said! My travel has become a lot more informed, comfortable and prolific and significantly more hassle-free with Flyertalk, so for me it's a way of paying some of it back.
The "Evangelist" title is merely a small way of acknowledging those members who have been part of the FlyerTalk community, learning and sharing information. It doesn't show when a member has another descriptor, such as TalkBoard Members (elected members who lead with organizational and other member representational issues), Moderators, etc.

I can report that the evangelist title appears instantly, when post #10,000 is posted. Not even a need to refresh the screen.

It may be due to the manually entered title regarding your username change. To quote SanDiego1K from earlier in the thread:

Do you add that line under user name or is that automatic because it changed? Perhaps that is the reason so either remove it yourself or get "them" to remove it and you can become an evangelist and evangelize. Hallelujah brother/sister Dieuwer!
