Congratulations to Sharon and Bruce, who have made my time at FT all the better for their presence: they always seek to inform, advise, and keep their wits (and sense of humor) about them at all times. No easy feat, that.
Good luck in your officer positions!

My guess (and its only a guess) is that Sharon, realizing the difficult and thankless task of the presidency, voted against herselftwice.
Sharon, the last U.S. president to win election by such a popular vote landslide was James Monroe in 1820, and he ran unopposed as well.
In fact, my limited math skills suggest that you polled within a few points of Jimmy M.
That this was called the Era of Good Feelings perhaps bodes well for FT and the Board.
1820 election results
James Monroe Democratic-Republican Virginia 87,343 80.61% 228 electoral
No candidate Federalist N/A 17,465 16.12% 0 electoral
2013 election results:
SkiAdcock 7 votes, 78%
Rock on!

I wanted to say how happy I am personally that, for the first time in the history of the TalkBoard, there is a non-moderator in the role of TB President.
And it also happens to be the first female TB President (although I may be wrong about that...and I think the original version of the appointed TB had a female chair, and much as I love Pam, I don't count that because that entire TB was appointed by Randy, not elected by the posters)!
In any case: Huzzah!
