Righteous indignation.

I'm mad as hell and I'm not going to take it anymore.

Enough with the consensus building. Enough with abusing the posters. Time to saddle up and give the posters respect, create forums without forcing folks to jump through hoops and clean up the profiteers who want to use us to line their pockets.

Thank you dinoscool3 for ensuring that I'm NOT the youngest candidate!

I think what I bring is better goal-scoring abilities than goalie

Seriously, I bring a lot of what others here bring. By the very fact the people here are running, we've all shown our commitment to FT, and I don't doubt for a second that each one of us brings something exciting to the table.

Being young apparently means nothing this year, but I also bring diplomacy, from schooling and work, something that can only help when it comes to TB votes, or creating newbie lounges, something I've heard from multiple FTers as something they'd like to see.

Ahem.....Prior to stopping pucks, I was a left wing and not half bad at that with three 20 goal seasons (with each season 18 games plus playoffs)

Ok-now back to business...

And there you have it! Hockey fans have two great FTers to vote for! (Maybe we can organize a hockey-DO!)

Interesting that age is coming into all this.

Most of the candidates haven't stated their age, gender or nationality which I actually think is a good thing.

I agree as it's the person and what they bring to the table and not their age, gender or nationality which matters

I'm somewhere between 21 and 121 (or between alive and dead, if that makes it easier). I'm day-to-day. We're all day-to-day.

For those that think youth is a good quality, it can just as easily be turned around to say that there are many of us that are longer in the tooth that have skills and experience that are just as important or maybe even more so depending on your viewpoint. Or in the words of the sage, P.J. O'Rourke, "Age and Guile Beat Youth, Innocence, and a Bad Haircut."

To me, age is not really all that relevant. I'm more interested in the substance of the candidate and not whether they were born after 1985.

I am envious of goalie, though. Hockey is the world's greatest sport and if I had learned to skate I would certainly be refereeing it instead of basketball in the winter.

Yes, but youth is also more willing to learn, so voters can turn the youth runnie to how they think.

Also, youth like to represented (I feel), and like to know they are represented.

My experience, as a bit of a not quite young, but not quite old, can be summed up by what a wise person told me when I was about 18... When you reach 30, you'll be amazed at how much your parents have learned from the time you turned 18 until when you turn 30.

Bolding mine: Absolutely correct . Age is only a number as there are many old <insert my Boston accent> fahts who some might think of as stubborn yet are much more willing to change/listen to change than youngun's and vice-versa. It all depends on the individual.

All this talk of age reminds me of the numerous "looking young and being elite" threads. At a certain point, age doesn't matter - actions matter.

An easy to understand open approach.

Far too many times I have seen people jumped on, made fun of or even ridiculed for their questions and views. Not everyone has years of experience, and we should be embracing their entry to the conversation.

Hey, it was the first thing that came to mind, plus I was the first person to mention it so I'm a little smug I started a trend among some people
