I have served on Board of Directors for youth and adult sports leagues for over 20 years. This experience will add a wealth of knowledge to the TB.

Humility is my greatest virtue.

No, actually I am a peacemaker. I am skillful enough with words to be able to calm down almost anyone, especially anyone balanced enough to be elected to the TalkBoard. I successfully quieted flame wars on the unmoderated Southwest forum for 5 years by becoming a respected friend to virtually everyone there. The secret is to genuinely understand both the reasoning and the feelings of the person you are writing to. Most people have a valid point to make, and I can sometimes help them make their point effectively and non-argumentatively. That's a win-win.

I hope that my background can help with adding different opinions to what sometimes seems like a business traveler oriented FT board. I am a leisure elite traveler who has lived in hub cities (MSP,ORD/MDW, and now LAX), secondary cities (MSY) and spend lots of time in Europe and Asia for fun. I am on the younger side (30 yrs old), but work with the elderly professionally (Internal Medicine) and kids as well (as a Pediatrician). And since I was young, I've really been into airplanes and flying.

OK, personally, I'm pretty laid back but aggressive when needed, a do-er rather than just a talker, have lots of experience in finances and internet work, and overall responsible, flexible and resourceful.

I'm an admin/Senior moderator on another webforum.

We listen to user feedback to build our site and listen to the users, something I think that is sorely lacking in the current TB leadership.

I'm a full-time flyer all over the world and speak bits and pieces of about 25 languages. I've been here for too many years. Much of my day job is politics and diplomacy and I often work at the UN. However I dearly hope that I should never have to apply my UN diplomatic expertise here!

And for all of Koko's self-deprecating, he is great at politics and does it for a living. And he can drink most of us under the table.
