So AB and JK not AC and HK. Very confusing naming as that deviates from the old B and J are middle seats caveat

As far as I can remember, Swiss allways used these letters for their A330 & A340.

Just the MD11 was different, but the 3-4-2 seating (ABC-DEFG-HJ) is a thing of the past, too.
You mean "really old" like on Swissair's B747?

Does anyone have any news on whether there'll be anything special happening for/on the inaugural LX14 and LX15?

Whilst that would have been nice, it would also have been unexpected!

I was thinking more along the lines of mementos etc as some airlines (eg SQ with the A380) do on their inaugural flights......

Any idea if the new A333 has been delivered to LX or not yet ?

April 20 is the day which first flight should take on and LX keep a very silent mouth about that aircraft delivery or any information related to the A333. Any one spoted the A 333 in ZRH ?

The aircraft (HB-JHA) arrived to zurich on wednesday evening at around 18:00. Theoretically tomorow it is expected to operate it's first commercial flight as LX014 to JFK.

Any reason that both airbus and LX have not made it publically that the aircraft has been delivered to LX 5 days ago ?

OK I understand LX style of communication but why Airbus did not announce the delivery to LX, given the fact that everytime Airbus makes a delivery it make official announcment of the delivery.

No idea, why even AIrbus hasn't made any anoncement about it. LX better be publishing pictures etc and a detailed press release of the new A333's tomorow when the plane will make it's maiden flight. Maybe a report will be in the SF and or Tele Zueri news...

Got 5K JFK-ZRH 21 July and 5K ZRH-JFK 3 Sept Swiss are kool with seat bookings except they wouldnt allow me 6A 8A or any of these A seats which are single on the LHS unless Im a special Swiss customer - good prices with Swiss - used to fly LH then SK in C but they r getting a bit tired - full flat beds best way to go whether its UA or CX or SQ or AC which I think are all good from my personal experience - if the seats are narrow theyre made for Europeans rather than obese Americans or Aussies - im 6ft4 and solidly (rather than fatly) built and they all wide enough for me! -would be nice if these Star Alliance carriers used Amadaeus like LH (Amadeus' owner) but I guess the hard and software upgrades cost too much - so shoot me down now for posting - its a usual for this board -

You might have missed it, but there was plenty of publicity in the Tagesanzeiger:

Article about the new plane

And another Tagesanzeiger article with VIDEO of all three classes
