Christmas markets in Switzerland?
Are there Christmas outdoor markets and carnivals in Switzerland, like the charming ones in Germany (I went to some in Berlin & Frankfurt last year)? If so, where and until when?
(I'm moving to Lausanne later this month.)

2 years ago I attended a Xmas market with a local carnival in a small city 35 km from Lausanne called Montreux and it was nice but very small when you compare it to the ones in Frankfurt or Berlin. However, I still like it so much.

The Christmas market, le marché de Noël, here in Montreux is indeed nice, definitely worth a spin. But it's expensive for all the cobble that they're selling, much of it junk that would find its way quickly into the attic. There is a stand selling cups of tea, thé de Montreux, which I have to say was the highlight for me! It is only CHF1, and really good. You can have it with rum added for CHF3.
