Hello chumbawumba,

Welcome to FlyerTalk!

Please note that we generally don't post "standard" offers that are going on in the mileage run forum. Generally, things like fare sales, unless really amazing ones, are not posted here. Most last minute fares, like these, are not considered to be mileage run deal type posts.

I will leave this thread here for now until further consultation from my fellow moderators, but I wanted to let you know.

Thanks,

I disagree. Or maybe, you can tell be another place to put them.
This offers of SWISS change weekly in the available destinations and in price. But they are an interesting option in collecting miles. If booked wisely, you make 7000 MM status miles and even more with FTL, SEN or HON. Sometimes, they offer this from different contries, which makes it even more interesting.

Enjoy your weekend, I will be in the air.

While in the air, he takes a whiskey drink, he takes a vodka drink, he takes a lager drink, he takes a cider drink;

He sings a song that reminds him of the good times and posts good info about the low fares...............on Swiss.

On saturday, I had to visit someone.
But now, I am on my way from Basel to Prague. That adds 8750 status Miles to my account for only CHF 360 all in. And I might get additional 1650 with the promotion time4u. I think, that is a good deal.
I am now in the business lounge in Zürich. Do not think that they know that there will be LH Lounge meeting today.

Welcome to FT, Chumbawumba. We're so spoiled here in the US with good MRs and FFPs willing to give decent credit for discount coach fares that I think some just are off-put by decent biz fares being posted in the MR forum. It's not beyond the pale to think of *relatively* cheap biz fares as a good deal. Anyone who visits the BA forum on a regular basis knows they'll go head over heels for a good Club Europe fare from Gatwick or TXL, and that they'll be happy to have someone post a 2000EUR Club World fare originating in CPH. Also, it's not like BAH-DOH-BAH in F is the cheapest cpm run you'll find anywhere, but I'm sure that most of the BA board regulars have either tried it or are considering it. Different continent, different FFPs, different rules.

I would not be too surprised to see many US FFPs switch to a more revenue-based elite program (a la BA or SQ) in the coming decade. Unfortunately (for many on this board, including myself), the days of doing 1cpm SAN-SFO-PDX-ORD-IAD-BOS & back runs for status may not be around in 10 years time. I'll make the most of the present system whilst I can, as I don't expect it to be around forever.

There is one thing you get with Swiss that is worth flying: Williams Schnapps.
There are only one or two on a flight. If you try to get one and there is none - That means I am on that flight.

I was really having a smile on my face when I read your mail. Thanks.

Next week, I will try to keep you informed about what's going on with Swiss or Lufthanse.

Regards,

Chumbawumba

After further discussion with my fellow moderators, we will be moving this thread to the Miles & More forum as this is a listing of fares posted on the Swiss website & is not a specific mileage run fare.

I'm sorry that you disagree & as the discussion on this thread hasn't had too much to do with the actual fares, we feel confident in our decision to move this thread.

Please continue discussion in the Miles & More forum.

Thanks!
