What a rubbish business class seats they have when you compare it to LX business class seats

I wouldn't fly them if I want to take LX to Tokyo or any where else where LX metals do fly to.

Lousy for a long haul, not worth the money imho for switching from LX mainline

Are we positive about the A333? I always believed they take over some of the "old" LX A332s?

At least THEY seem to be positive about the new bird.
Link to seatmap on Edelweiss homepage
And here's the impression they want to give on another platform: link

The seatpitch in Business is 48".
Economy is 32".

Edited to correct:
Business is +9" / +10" vs the old layout in the A332, which I think is shown in the post above.
Economy is +1" vs the old layout in the A332.

I wonder if the range is sufficient for HKT-ZRH.
The flighttime looks suspiciously long. Fuelstop?

Business is certainly still by far inferior to LX mainline, but the price should reflect that. (and it does, as far as I've seen.)
It just get's a little tricky when there's a mix of Edeleweiss and Swiss on the NRT route. Some passengers will certainly (pretend to) notice only on board that this is not the real thing.
That might create some extra work for the (still non-existant?) customer relations department.

Edelweiss from NRT (3 June)

Just looking at flights from NRT to ZRH on June 3rd and I saw that there is an additional flight to the regular LX flight (dep 1025) on Edelweiss leaving an hour earlier (LX8947, dep 0925).

Any idea what that's about? What will the C class seat be like on a flight like that?

Edelweiss Air is primarly a leisure airline and an affiliate of SWISS. It operates wetlease for them as it is the case with the NRT flight during summer period, as far as I know.
Their C (targeted to leisure pax) is substandard and is more a premium economy class. However, f&b is very good and staff always very friendly.

I believe that on the NRT route the Edelweiss flight is NOT a wetlease for LX but it is an actual Edelweiss flight which operates IN ADDITION to the "normal" LX flight.

The comments about their Business Class being sub-standard and more like a Premium Economy is spot on, as is the comment about F+B and cabin service. Flew them only on A320 plane, but I liked it.

I agree the seat is nowhere near as good as LX.

I would be surprised if it was not much cheaper though, which could attract buyers on their mostly leisure flights.

Edelweiss Air to NRT

I see on LX website booking engine, flights to NRT operated by WK. Odd thing is C is same price on WK flight as LX flight, earlier in the day. Is the a330 the same C design as LX's planes?

Is it a codeshare? What is the Edelweiss flight number?

EDIT: It seems it was planned as a summer schedule only -
