flying on Swiss Air, BUD-SFO via ZRH....

However, BUD-ZRH is in economy, and ZRH-SFO is in business class.

My question is, can I check in at business class counter at BUD airport since majority of the trip will be in business class?

If it is all on one ticket I would say yes, if it is two separate tickets you could give it a try but may get some strange looks from the Check-in agent…

This is a one-way itinerary in the same ticket with approximately 1.5 hr layover in ZRH. I have conflicting report on whether I can use business counter (shorter line) and priority boarding (first access to overhead bin) when i check in at BUD. I am fine with not being able to use lounge. I am more interested in the swiss lounge at ZRH than at BUD.

You won't get priority boarding as you're booked in Y-cl...
Why are you only booked in Y-cl BUD-ZRH?
