According to Airline Route, the flight should be operated daily with 777 as of May 20, 2016:

Any updates on the HKG swaps? I was looking at ZRH to HKG in late July and noticed that it was the 77W up to and including the July 30 departure, and then switches to an A343.

For the customer, there is no difference. For details, see: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Swiss_Global_Air_Lines

The Wiki is a bit unclear I'd say.
In short, it's the former "Regional" wing (that, if I'm not mistaken, got quite a bit of his staff from former Crossair) of Swiss, that has a different paying/hiring model (Forget the details, but there are quite some significances) - and which they use now to operate their 777 fleet, as the former mid/long haul Airbus crew would need new certifications anyway. So, by putting their new longhaul wings crew onto (assumed) cheaper contracts, they're trying to cut costs.

I also encountered the same problem for the Zuerich- GRU route, it shows that the 777ER will be used from the 6th till the 21st of August and that it will switch back to A340 afterward again (I checked for the following few months). Does anyone know if it is a system problem or if this aircraft will no longer be used for that route after those dates?
