Why no forums dedicated to airports?
Seems odd there are no forums dedicated to airports.

There used to be. They were very under-utilized and it made FT too sprawling. Randy Petersen a few years ago folded the airport forums into the geographic destination forums

which works very, very well. Lots of airport threads in those forums.

Searching for them doesn't work given the current restrictions on searches. Please fix search so it works on airport codes.

Well, it wouldn't work either even if there were dedicated airport forums
It's pretty easy to find airport threads in the geographic forums, and several of them (Los Angeles, for example) have airport faq threads, often stickied.

Bring back 3 letter word searches and airport threads will be easy to find, or better yet, make them sticky in every geo forum.
This is also an annoying problem when searching any forum for issues related to a specific airport. 4 letter searches on a web site dedicated to flying just doesn't make any sense. Please fix the problem with search so we can once again search on airport codes.
