Unbelievable that I have to call every week to get my starwood folios emailed to me in 2010.

Standing in line to checkout in the morning is a waste of time and the folio slipped under the door does not include that morning's room service or minibar charges when grabbing something to go that morning.

I would have expected this to be available circa 2005, and that would still be behind the game.

I usually mentions that I would like the folio in an email either at checkin or checkout, which is a good workaround until Starwood joins the rest of us in the 21st century.

2011

Well it's now 2011.

I just went to find a receipt from a W Hotel after a whirlwind tour of several cities, only to find you still can't get your receipt online with Starwood.

This is sort of a deal-breaker for me ... Even if I do manage to keep the receipt, having to go back and find it, scan it in, etc. is a pain. Hyatt has them all attached to the stays in my online account.

For those that travel a lot (and I think those are the people that Starwood is courting), this is a table-stakes feature (not even a nice to have anymore), IMHO.

Yes it inconvenient, but nothing I would call a deal breaker.

Let me ask you this, when you checked in or checked out, did you ask to have you folio emailed to you?

There are several threads on this here in the forum that discuss this.

You can reach out to SPG customer service and they will be glad to request one for you.

I stay in Sheraton weekly. Its an absolute waste of time to call week after week to have it emailed. This thread has been 5 years old, yet still no functionality.

What does it take to get this going?

Why don't you tell them at check in you want the follio emailed? In light of no functionality, this is how it's done.

Whenever you check into a Starwood property, just inform the agent you want the folio emailed upon check out.

Exactly. I pretty well have all my stay folios emailed to me know. Then I just flip them to my bookkeeper for processing and filing. Way easier to manage than paper folios.

Cheers,

Because I asked them to do it and I never received it.

It's ridiculous that this thread has been around for 6 years now and still no progress. This is definitely going to weigh into the next time I need to decide between a Starwood and a Hilton. My time is valuable to me and I don't like to spend it on the phone.

You're saying at check-in and/or check-out a property refused to email you a receipt? Every property I've been to has been able to execute this with no problem.

What is the property?

No, he/she is not saying that. Re-read what they wrote. They asked, the hotel said they will email, but never followed through with the email. That has happened on occasion to me as well. And yes, it is a pain.

The other two hotel chains I use, Hilton and Hyatt, both allow for easy online retrieval of stay receipts. Starwood should seriously look into addressing this.

I agree, but Hilton and Hyatt only allow this for domestic US (maybe NA) properties, correct?

It's crazy this has to even be discussed. I can pull up receipts on my Amazon account from purchases 15 years ago. There's no good reason I should not be able to do that for hotel stays.

If they need a disk drive to store them, I'll be very happy to send them one at no charge.
