Unbelievable that I have to call every week to get my starwood folios emailed to me in 2010.
Standing in line to checkout in the morning is a waste of time and the folio slipped under the door does not include that morning's room service or minibar charges when grabbing something to go that morning.
I would have expected this to be available circa 2005, and that would still be behind the game.

I usually mentions that I would like the folio in an email either at checkin or checkout, which is a good workaround until Starwood joins the rest of us in the 21st century.

Well it's now 2011.
I just went to find a receipt from a W Hotel after a whirlwind tour of several cities, only to find you still can't get your receipt online with Starwood.
This is sort of a deal-breaker for me ... Even if I do manage to keep the receipt, having to go back and find it, scan it in, etc. is a pain. Hyatt has them all attached to the stays in my online account.
For those that travel a lot (and I think those are the people that Starwood is courting), this is a table-stakes feature (not even a nice to have anymore), IMHO.

Let me ask you this, when you checked in or checked out, did you ask to have you folio emailed to you?
There are several threads on this here in the forum that discuss this.

I'm looking for an old receipt as well. Still no way to do this with SPG?

Whenever you check into a Starwood property, just inform the agent you want the folio emailed upon check out.

It's ridiculous that this thread has been around for 6 years now and still no progress. This is definitely going to weigh into the next time I need to decide between a Starwood and a Hilton. My time is valuable to me and I don't like to spend it on the phone.

Because I asked them to do it and I never received it.

The other two hotel chains I use, Hilton and Hyatt, both allow for easy online retrieval of stay receipts. Starwood should seriously look into addressing this.

No, he/she is not saying that. Re-read what they wrote. They asked, the hotel said they will email, but never followed through with the email. That has happened on occasion to me as well. And yes, it is a pain.

If they need a disk drive to store them, I'll be very happy to send them one at no charge.
