Starwood Hotels & Resorts and TripAdvisor announce new instant booking partners

Starwood and TripAdvisor announced they have partnered to make Starwood’s global hotel portfolio accessible on the TripAdvisor instant booking platform.

The partnership enables Starwood to market and merchandise its brands to TripAdvisor customer base starting in H1 of this year

I would assume that all SPG benefits will apply to such reservations

You can assume it. I don't want to test it before such details are published by SPG.

These are going to be considered third-party bookings and they will not be SPG-eligible.

Will we be able to file BRG claims against TripAdvisor? The articles are saying that the booking will actually be completed by Starwood itself, so I just want to be clear about TripAdvisor's eligibility.

We are still in discussion on whether or not you will be able to use their OTA as a resource for BRG claims.
