Yes. I can't recall the last time monthly points or purchase-related cash or points bonuses didn't post within a day or two of the qualifying activity. Amex has really impressed me in that regard.

I wonder what this credit card and the Marriott/Ritz-Carlton cards will become after a new combined program is rolled out. I plan on keeping mine (R-C Visa and SPG Amex), to see how it turns out. Even if the the relationship with either Amex or Chase were discontinued, existing accounts would likely be grandfathered in.

Having the exact same issue - statement closed on the 19th, and nothing so far despite usually posting within a day or two. A call to AmEx said that it takes 7-10 business days to post.

Unfortunately, that's not what typically happens when a new exclusive is negotiated. The Citi Hilton cards will not be grandfathered, just as the Costco Amexs were not. Typically the portfolio is either purchased by the new issuer, or the existing issuer will move you to a new product.

Hello All, should I apply for the 30k offer available for me on Amex website or wait for another possible 35k offer. I ask because I'm concerned that with Chase taking over SPG that that offer may not come around again. Also, any thoughts on using this as a base card for non-category spend due to the value of SPG points? I appreciate any insight.
