Fitness Center?
Is there fitness center access with this hotel? The website says "Fitness Facility Nearby"

No. They send you to the Park Lane, 5 minutes walk up the road. pita during winter, but overall I do like the Belgravia.

I can't comment on the Plat treatment, but I had problems with my stay at Sheraton Belgravia. Problems would not have put me off staying there, but their follow-up has completely turned me off this property.
I sent a follow-up email to Starwood which was passed onto the hotel management. I did not hear anything back, so I sent another follow-up email to Starwood, which was again passed onto the hotel management. I was also told by Starwood that my comments were formally recorded as a complaint on their system.
Not even a reply, word of apology or preventive action for the future was forthcoming from the management despite this (I did not ask for compensation, and neither would I have expected any - I wanted an apology and be told about what they would do to prevent something similar from happening).
So I would not be staying there again. I have moved my business to other Starwood properties in London and a few others.
I can tolerate a problem, but shoddy treatment such as totally ignoring a substantial complaint, to me, is unacceptable.

Room in an unacceptable state (the staff agreed straight-away that it was unacceptable as soon as they arrived at the room), resulting in downgrade to a very small room (small even for London), and not being offered an alternative, such as an option for a paid upgrade to an equivalent or larger room. I wouldn't have minded a small room as such, but it is the fact that the room was allocated when it was in an unacceptable state that was the main problem.
Heating did not work properly either, and while the portable heater was provided after I let them know of the problem, heaters really should be working in the first place.
However, those problems aren't really the main reason why I would not stay there, though - it is the fact that they do not even have the courtesy to reply to a complaint, especially as I am not exactly just 'once a year user of Starwood' (but even then, they should have replied to a complaint).
It is disappointing because their 'normal' (not the really small one) rooms are better than the standard room at Park Lane which is really tired and in need of refurbishment (although their executive rooms are fine).

I stayed here last week, am an ocassional visitor to London for several years and my office is near Vic station so I tend to stay in the Buckingham Gate area.
I have tried the Park Lane a few times and never really happy.
My last stay in January I tried Hotel 41, a great little boutique on Buckingham Gate. So far that place is by far the best for this area, great comfy beds, big flatscreen TVs and amazing service.
Belgravia this last trip was ok. Common areas and room are a bit worn, CRT style TV, really basic bathroom. Beds were cozy which is a big plus. The location was good, also nice and quiet. Next trip I'm torn, might try the other Sheraton (Tower) but if not for SPG points I'd just go with Hotel 41.

I was not too impressed with this hotel when we stayed there in June.
I paid extra for a room for three people. I should say I paid extra points
as it was a points stay. The room is a bit shabby but ok, however no
hot water. Called downstairs, was told to wait a bit and it would heat up,
tks, I know how to work a hot water shower and it was not heating up.
My daughter finished her icy shower and eventually someone came up to
check on it. They said they would have to get a plumber and that would not
happen until tomorrow. We had been traveling all day and wanted our showers.
They said they had no other rooms to move us to but they did let us take
a shower in a room down the hall. Next day plumbers came and worked on
it but you either had icy cold or scalding hot water. I like traveling in Europe
and I know many of their hotels are old and don't have U.S. style bathrooms
but for the prices this hotel charges they should work on the plumbing.
I will try somewhere else next time.

Shocking experience
I stayed at the Belgravia years ago. It's a nice quiet neighborhood away - far away - from most of the London hot spots. However, what I remember most were the heated floors. I got shocked everytime I turned on the light and stood on a wet floor in the bathroom. Thank goodness I'm alive to tell the tale!

Another common difference, as you experienced at the Belgravia (as I have), is the age of the plumbing system in the older European buildings, often resulting in erratic water temperatures. (Though I've had the same issue in newer hotels in the US, it's just not as common.)
