I just booked a reward stay for this property in July of this year. I fell in love with Croatia when I visited Dubrovnik and Cavtat last fall.

Has anyone stayed here yet? Just wondering what the impressions were.

The fact that everyone says this is why I'm going to Croatia this summer. Also interesting in this property as we have looked at it.

Rent a car and drive around.
You will see ocean, lake and mountain, all are so beautiful.

As a Croatian, I would definitely recommend spending some time in Split, as well as in Dubrovnik. Summer might not be the best time to go there since there are too many people and you don't get the real atmosphere of these places... if that's what you're after.

And, if you have a chance, don't miss out on some of the island just in front of Split - like Brac, Hvar or Korcula. They don't offer exclusive hotels, but are definitely worth visiting.

As far as Dubrovnik is concerned, THE place to stay is Hilton Imperial Dubrovnik - http://www1.hilton.com/en_US/hi/hote...ovnik/index.do.

Enjoy Croatia!

Thumbs up Le Meridien Split

Le Meridien Split is in a prime and picturesque location on the seafront, near a historic town. If it is relaxation you are after, Le Meridien is where to go, complete with its own spa, marina and casino for that little bit of excitement. If it's culture, Split's old town is a must and so are the nearby islands. The choice of restaurants/bars in the hotel completes the picture. Overall, friendly staff, excellent food in a beautiful country, i.e. a pampering holiday. Both the hotel and city/country are to be recommended!

If it's the Dalmatian coast - Dubrovnik, Mljet, Split, Brac, Hvar, definitely.

If you stay in Istria, Pula, Rovinj, Brijuni islands, and the inner part of the peninsula with 7-people cities on small romantic hills (Hum, Roc etc.).

I live here (actually in Zagreb, the capital), so let me know if you need any help or have any questions!

WOuld it be completely unreasonable to see at Christmas? Have been wanting to get to Croatia for the last few years but it is just not practical to get there this summer or fall. Still looking for a trip for Christmas week this year, however ...

I'm also puzzled. The pictures on spg.com show a seafront location but the map on the same site shows it a few miles inland.

I don't want to hire a car to get around - would it be feasible to stay here and still see Split - maybe a cab into town in the evenings? Or is it too far south?

Split airport to Le Meridien?

How far is the airport from the hotel? If I don't rent a car, will there be easy transportation from the airport to the hotel?

I just booked a -
1 King Superior Seaview Non-smoking, Plasma Tv, Private Balcony, Laptop Safe, Coffee/tea Maker, Room Up To 34 Sq Meters. Sitting Area, Bath And Power Shower , Electronic Safe, With Facility To Charge Laptops.

It was the only non-smoking room available. Does anyone know if it is significantly nicer than the classic room?

Thanks.

Hi bamboola, I will be staying at this resort in July for a week. I emailed the hotel and inquired about a transfer and decided to book a transfer instead of renting. The price is €45 each way, which I thought was quite reasonable.

The Split airport is 16 km/10 miles W of the city but by road, is 28 km/17 miles.. A taxi to Central Split will cost ~HRK 200 (€30)and takes 30 mins.

A cheaper option is to take the Croatia Airlines Bus to Split Main Bus Station (HRK 30) and take a taxi from there. This bus departs shortly after flight arrivals and takes 30-40 mins. There are no stops en-route.

I am also staying at the Le Meridien in Split in July. For some reason I managed to snag a Classic Room + breakfast for EUR 95 per night. The package was called "Lm Passport w/Bfk"
