Facility Availability Information

Please note that Favola restaurant, Le Méridien Club Lounge and the Kids Club are scheduled to open in early 2015. Until this time, Club Lounge benefits will be provided in Latitude 13º 39’.

In addition, Explore Spa is scheduled to open by May 2015. Please contact the resort for further information.

Le Méridien Suvarnabhumi Golf Resort & Spa, Bangkok, Thailand, Now opening Nov 16 '14

I was just looking into reservations for Bangkok and noticed a new property that is being planned outside of Bangkok, 3 miles from the new Suvarnabhumi Airport. It will include a golf course, spa, health club, and swimming pool. Certainly will be convenient for late arrivals and early departures. No opening date has been set yet (my guess is 2009 or early 2010).

Let's hope they haven't employed any of the same people who 'built' the airport so well!

Certainly good news that Starwood are to get an airport hotel built at BKK.

Did you notice at the bottom of the page it says "No SPG Participation"

Or maybe they have not figured out what it will be yet?

The hotel seems to have disappeared from the list of the hotels in Thailand, at spg.com.
The 4 other hotels, that are scheduled to open in 2012 and 2014, are still on the list.

If I remember correctly, the same thing happened about a year ago, again in Thailand. A Four Points was scheduled to open in Phuket, a GM was hired but the project felt though.
Now, it seems that a Four Points will open in January 2014, but it might be a different property than the one announced earlier.

Also the planned Four Points Sathorn in BKK was cancelled last year....

That's too bad. Seemed like it would have been a nice place in and of itself, and would have been great to have a good spg property right near the airport for overnight stays while in transit.

The address in google maps shows up as Summit Windmill Golf Residence. At least we have an idea of where it is now?

Is this a new property or just a rebrand of the Windmill? Mrs LoM went to school not a million miles away and describes it as a very good golf course.
