Future of the Starwood Amex?

I was in the market for a new a credit card and the SPG Amex is a huge option for me however I have heard that this card maybe discountining soon. This is true? What will happen to current card members and will there be a new card to transfer to AA/AS?

Where did you hear this information?
Nobody here can answer that question?

Starwood may change it's credit card provider/relationships when the new loyalty program is announce, but as of right now nothing has changed.

what do you mean by “new loyalty program”? Are they planning to announce one?

Lord have mercy. Are you not aware that SPG was purchased by Marriott? Please see the sticky that discusses the "merger" and the new company and associated loyalty program.
