Canceling a non-refundable property

of non-refundable reservations around 6 times - all for "legitimate" reasons,
and all were granted. A couple of times there were date errors in my bookings ( my error) - and the hotels shifted the dates.
And on the one occasion when on the first day of a 2 week Asian trip I was
summoned home due to my wife's medical emergency, every hotel I had
booked moved my reservation to my make-up trip some 6 weeks later.
