SPG DOUBLE TAKE PROMOTION TERMS AND CONDITIONS
Registration: Starwood Preferred Guest® Members must register online at spg.com/doubletake by 11:59 p.m. Eastern Time (ET), March 15, 2017. Registered members can earn bonus Starpoints® on eligible stays between January 16, 2017, and April 15, 2017 (the "Promotion Period"), at hotels and resorts in the SPG® program.
Earning: Registered members will earn double Starpoints at participating hotels and resorts on eligible stays of one or more nights for their first three stays within the earning period. Members who earn double Starpoints will earn an additional two (2) Starpoints per eligible US$1 spent (for a total of four [4] Starpoints per dollar). Elite-level extra Starpoints earnings and other bonuses will not be doubled. Only the base two-Starpoints-per-dollar earnings are doubled. After the third stay, registered members may be eligible to earn five thousand (5,000) bonus Starpoints after ten (10) nights, plus an additional five hundred (500) bonus Starpoints per additional night up to five thousand (5,000) Starpoints for a total of ten thousand (10,000) bonus Starpoints or twenty (20) nights. Offer is eligible with other Starpoints promotions; however, each offer will award bonus Starpoints independently of each other, and offers are not combinable.
Bonusing: The bonus Starpoints will post to the registered member's account within 2 to 4 weeks after the qualifying stay posts.
Eligible stays and nights: An eligible stay is defined as one or more consecutive nights paying an eligible rate in the same hotel, regardless of the number of check-ins or checkouts that occur, and posting to the member’s Starwood Preferred Guest account. An eligible night is defined as at least one night paying an eligible rate in the Promotion Period. An eligible rate is any rate that is eligible to earn Starpoints in the Starwood Preferred Guest program. A description of eligible stays and eligible rates can be found at spg.com under the program terms and conditions. See Section 2.1 for the complete definition of eligible rates. Note that certain prepaid room reservations — such as when the booking is made through a third party, including but not limited to travelocity.com, expedia.com, orbitz.com and delta.com — are not considered eligible rates and do not earn Starpoints or qualify for promotional earnings. Dashboard is not currently accessible, but glad the correct true bonus amounts of 10k + 5k have posted today.
This is interesting because over the past few weeks of the general system problem and delay in crediting the promo points, the dashboard was incorrectly showing 10k + 4.5k -- as the automated reposting had changed the original posting sequence and bumped out 1 night from the complex sequencing calculation.

I also just had my 10K post and some 500 point bonuses.
Useful timing - that 10K is paying for a $300 hotel stay this coming weekend. That's neatly valued that part of the promo for me, so thanks SPG.

I probably know what the answer is from the FAQ, but still checking:
I already have 3 stays in the promo period earning me double points. Now If I start a 25 night stay on 12th April (just three days before the promo ends), I should get 10000 points for doing 20 nights and an additional 500*5 = 2500 points for 500 points each night after 20 nights in the promo period making a total of 12500 bonus points right?
Please let me know if my calculation is wrong.

With the end of this particular promo now under two weeks away, just curious how things worked out for members.
In my case, by the end of the promo period I'll have hit all three thresholds:
- Double Points for first three stays
(And in my case):
- 10K bonus for next 20 nights
- 500 bonus points per night for next 10 nights up to a max 5K bonus
(I actually think it's kind of disappointing that there isn't some fourth threshold of a mega bonus of X bonus points per night for the next X nights).
In my case, by the end of the promo period I'll have hit all three thresholds:
