I want to buy 20.000 starwood points [account <14 days old]
Hello,
I want to buy 20.000 starwood points, but my account is seven days old.
The FAQ says:
The recipient of a Starpoint purchase must be a member of Starwood Preferred Guest for a minimum of fourteen days before being able to purchase Starpoints for himself/herself.
Has everyone tried to buy starwood points with a account, which was not older as 14 days?
Regards

Why would anyone want to buy Starwood points - they are extremely expensive and rarely worth it.

I find points to be useful during peak seasons when hotels jack up the rate of their rooms by 2 or 3x

And the last day is today, which I guess is why the OP is asking about purchasing into a new SPG account at this particular point in time.
What happens when you try ?

The points purchase transaction is done on points.com, who may not have the ability to verify the age of the SPG account. The points are actually credited to the SPG account 'within 24 hours', which suggests there may well be an additional background, manual approval process too, and it's at this point the OPs purchase could be disqualified.

It won't.
FWIW, if you try the purchase process, once you get to the buy page, it specifically states :
Starpoint purchases can be made by members whose accounts have been active for a minimum of 14 days. Accounts that are less than the required 14 days in age will have the purchase attempt cancelled.
