Comments: this has to be the largest 'studio' suite i have ever seen....separate living & dining room, 2 bathrooms & a huge bedroom with a sitting area....shame i was only there for a night, most of which was spent out of the room....

The relative newness of the hotel is still evident, with lots of new staff that have not been here for years and hence they do not have the experience you would expect.

Comments: Wow. Gorgeous hotel upgraded us a month in advance to Grande Deluxe suite. The description of that suite said 2 bedrooms/2 baths. We were shown a 1 bedroom to-die-for suite but my BFF was with & we'd expected a room for her. No problem- she was given the other room in the vestibule. The butler called down and it was easily arranged. Hers did not have a steam shower like mine or TV in bath (my bath tv didn't work anyway) but it was an amazing upgrade- perfection. Gifts from the manager were 2 suede/leather bags monogrammed with our names! Price tag in gift shop? $265 each. Grand walk-in closet, view was magnificent. Molten Brown products. Not the suite described on website, but still best upgrade I've EVER received. Parliament on one side, view of Acropolis on the other. Chandeliers, artwork, chocolates and water every day, wine upon arrival. Fantastic staff, breakfast on the roof daily was a dream. THIS Lifetime Plat is VERY happy. I leave in a few hours for Crete where we're staying at Blue Palace. Wish I could bring this suite with!

Comments: This was a 3rd party booking via an auction win from a travel site we frequent. My Ambassador came through in a monster way on this one. Not only did she get us upgraded many categories to the best Royal Overwater Villa at the property--and the best/biggest overwater villa in all of French Polynesia--but she also managed to get an additional SPG.com night canceled and the deposit credited back to our account for incidentals--despite that 7th night being non-refundable. (Our TN flight got canceled due to mechanical problems, causing us to arrive on another flight one day late.) Anyone who thinks an Ambassador is overrated or not helpful is kidding themselves. My Ambassador saved me $1500 for the canceled 7th night alone...and then got us upgraded to the nicest overwater villa in Bora Bora. Wow.
