American Express and Starwood enhance cobrand credit card benefits
Will the additional cardholders on my Starwood Business Amex account get access to the Sheraton Club lounge? What about guests in additional rooms I'm also paying for?
"This benefit is for Basic Card Members only on Starpoint Eligible Rate reservations...Sheraton Club lounge access is limited to the eligible Card Member and a guest staying in the same room for the duration of the stay, regardless of how many rooms have been reserved." (See Starwood FAQs.)
Which hotel brands with the Sheraton name will offer the lounge benefit? The benefit is offered at all Sheraton-branded properties, including Sheraton Grand hotels, with the exception of any Luxury Collection property. It is not available at Four Points by Sheraton hotels.
Club access if I book my stay with points or cash+points?
Per Starwood Lurker, yes.

Sheraton YVR Airport - Richmond, BC
Checked in last night and had to prompt the front desk to code my keycard for access to the lounge – it didn't come up until I asked about it. They asked for the physical card, which I didn't have with me, but I opened the Amex app on my phone and the manager was willing to accept that as proof.

the card will get you access. although its fairly easy to get into club lounge without having access (anyone will open the door for you, because magnetic cards malfunction all the time) but in most properties the club is on top floor and elevators need card access to get to that floor.

Wish they had been more diligent about that at the Sheraton HK Towers Lounge. They did check carefully at breakfast, but one very crowded night I was sitting very near a large group all there for the same meeting. There was no open table and I had to share with someone else. Several of the folks in the large group were bragging that they used someone else's room number and name to get access and a free drink since they weren't actually staying in the Towers. Yes, they were American, but not from my part of the country. As a paying customer, who had to wait for a table, let alone a view, I was less than pleased.

Sheraton Miyako Tokyo?
This hotel has a Sheraton club lounge but it doesn't appear on the list of sheraton clubs with access with SPG Amex Business Card. Anyone know the deal with that?

Does this include children? My wife and 4 year-old daughter will be traveling with me.

Yes It Includes Guests
ncaahockeyfan,
Once your key card is encoded for the lounge, you can bring guests. A longe would have no practical way of stopping you from bringing guests unless you brought in a rediculous number of guests.
That being said, I would just adopt the mentality that you have a key card for the lounge and of course you are going to bring in your wife and kid.
I would not ask any questions about it with the staff, etc. or raise it as an issue.
A lot of times in travel you can just do something, and you can get in to more trouble if you start asking unnecessary questions at the hotel or the airport.
Also every time I've checked in to any hotel with lounge access, all of the key cards have been encoded for lounge access where I had it. So i.e. your wife's key card will also have the lounge access
Also, for the rest of you, I would recommend when you book a stay with SPG using your SPG business Amex in the special requests or comments section of the reservation just type in i.e.
Guest Permitted Lounge Access Per SPG Business Amex agreement.
That way when you check in the associate will see that notation on your reservation.
