Is the summer intern running the targeted marketing operation ?
I've just received a rather odd marketing email from SPG.
It's titled "Reward yourself with 1,000 bonus Starpoints on summer weekends in Portugal" and says :
This was sent to my (long-standing) SPG profile email address, the same address to which SPG sent the promo registration confirmation email 10 days ago ....
Strange...
It's titled "Reward yourself with 1,000 bonus Starpoints on summer weekends in Portugal" and says :

In the end, I'll end summer with 7000 extra points, a 25% discount cert for point redemptions and three free nights. It could have been worse

I will end up with 11,000 points from this Promo, 12,000 from the targeted promo and 3 nights from the Sheraton Promo, pretty much the equivalent of 5 free nights.

SPG promo working exactly as intended, they get my weekend stays til expiry now.
Of course I have to stay somewhere midweek and since their incentive is weekend only, all midweek stays are with Hilton now. Up to 40 nights on Hilton since their old promo ended and their new one started (and is weekend only). I'll be Hilton Diamond this year for sure - in addition to SPG100 again. Surprising Starwood doesn't want all the nights. But for me gives me more choice.

The 1000 point bonus
I just completed a two night stay, Fri-Sun, at the Sheraton Dulles. I previously signed up for the 1000 bonus points for weekend stays.
I see that the points for the stay, plus the MAGC bonus, already posted, but the 1000 points have not.
When should I expect to see those?

Thanks Christina, clarification in case others are curious: points will post a couple of weeks after the stay has posted, not after the actual stay dates. Since my posting had been delayed so are the bonus points. And, c&p stays do not count towards the promotion.
