Let's call out this promotion for what it truly is...Lame

I will be getting 65,000 points during Hyatt's summer promotion and will be redirecting my stays there once I reach Platinum 100 in the middle of this month.

Clarification needed regarding this particular FAQ:
If I check in before June 1, 2015, or check out after August 31, 2015, but some of my stay is in the eligible stay time period, does my stay earn the bonus?
.
The answer in the FAQs is yes, but does that include if the weekend night falls outside of the promo period? Specifically, I checked into my current stay on Sunday, May 31, for a duration of 5 nights. So the only weekend night included in my stay is the only night that falls outside of the promo period. Does this stay count?

Hi eeebee,

Yes, this stay will count. The weekend night does not need to fall inside of the promotion period.

Already had my first 1,000 points post. Sure it's a lame promo, but for an SPG loyal not going anywhere, a strong economy, and high occupancy rates/ADRs, it's better than a sharp stick in the eye.

Sorry, but the new thread title does not describe the actual promo.

Well, I tried.....

Damn, I have 2 stays booked (concurrently) for for the first weekend of September so I'm going to miss out on 2k points by a week. I know it's not a lot but every bit helps.

So stay starting from May 31st "doesn't count"? Urgh, missed it. But I have two more weekend stays this summer, so all is good...

I found this in the FAQ:

If I check in before June 1, 2015, or check out after August 31, 2015, but some of my stay is in the eligible stay time period, does my stay earn the bonus?

Yes, as long as one night of the eligible stay is within the promotion period.

Hope springs eternal.

According to the FAQ for this offer, it does.

What if I book and pay for multiple rooms do I earn bonus Starpoints for those rooms too?

For the SPG Make It Count promotion, you will earn 1,000 bonus Starpoints for each room you book, pay and stay in up to 3 rooms as long as you assign your SPG number to all three rooms and pay an eligible rate.

That means you don't really understand SPG starpoints.

1,000 starpoints worth much more than 5,000 CX AMs

I'm kind of a weekend traveler, so this is decent for me. I have 6 stays that will yield 6000 points- and at 2.4 cents per point, that's $144. I'm going to have to accept.
